Meet the Artist and Art Teacher

Sophia is a passionate and experienced art educator who believes that learning should be joyful, meaningful, and rooted in creativity. Through art, children are invited to slow down and observe God's beautiful creation around them.
She holds an M.A. with Honors in History of Art and International Relations from the University of St Andrews (UK)—currently ranked the number one university in the UK. Her academic background includes advanced study in Art History, Drawing, and Painting.
Sophia has taught art across a wide range of ages, including serving as Founder and President of a Fine Arts Society, where she taught drawing and painting at the university level. Her love for the arts began early and has grown into a lifelong vocation of teaching, mentoring, and encouraging young learners.
As a Christian homeschool parent of two, Sophia understands the values and priorities of families who are intentional about their children’s education. Her classes are thoughtfully designed to support creativity, patience, focus, and a sense of accomplishment.

In each class, students create their own artwork while learning about God's beautiful animal creations. Lessons weave together art, nature, animals, geography, and sometimes even world cultures, helping children develop both artistic skills and a broader understanding of the world. With American, British and German roots and years of international living and travel, Sophia brings an international perspective to her teaching.
